Injection Molding of iPP Samples in Controlled Conditions and Resulting Morphology

An investigation was carried out on the process of injection molding of thin iPP samples and on the morphology of these samples. Melt flow in the mold cavity was analyzed and described with a mathematical model. Influence of mold temperature and injection pressure was analyzed. Samples orientation was studied through IR spectroscopy and optical microscopy.
